When the killer tunnels you:

Wilford happily hummed as he waited for Mad to finish playing with that guy. Hearing a thanking his way, he turned to look at them, giggling at the guy on the corpse. What a silly man, napping here! Well, he must’ve been exhausted by their game.
“I dunno.”, Wilford shrugged. “You never introduced yourself.”, he hummed, playing with his suspenders again.
Mad didn’t let the humming distract him from what ‘needed’ to be done. He smiled once he felt at peace, which happened to be after the ending of another’s time.
“That’s helpful-“ Mad stopped as the other man continued speaking, then introduced himself. “My name is Mad- and yes before you make a joke about it, ‘Mad as a hatter’ and then some, some would add.”
“Why would I joke about it?”, Wilford asked and tilted his head. “Most of my friend’s names are just as weird. Dark, Host, Google, the list goes on. Mad is a pretty normal name!”, he giggled lightly, thinking it amusing how Mad would think he’d joke about his name.
“Nice to meet you, Mad!”, he said then and smiled.
“Well, for starters a lot of people think it’s weird, I suppose you’re an.. Exception then.” The demon stood there and blinked as the man listed off a couple names, causing him to raise an eyebrow subconsciously. “I know Dark, Doc, Glitch, Anti and now you.. So I suppose you’re right.”
“The pleasure is all mine.” He said with a slight grin. “So what now? We just go our separate ways? Or have you decided anything you had to request in return? Stealing anything? Ending someone?”

“Hey, I know you chase people because you want to catch them, but there’s a difference if you want to murder them -which is important I suppose- or you just want to get some purse from an old lady back.”, Wilford replied and shrugged.
“If you want,”, Wilford started before he stood up and brushed his clothes off. “I could give you an opportunity to get that guy.”, he grinned as he offered Mad a hand, eyes sparkling pink instead of their chocolate brown.
“I haven’t let go of you in my void, nor have I brought you somewhere obviously dangerous, nor am I pointing a weapon at you.”, Wilford said with a smile, letting go of Mad as soon as they had arrived, and instead played with his suspenders.
“You have no reason not to trust me!”, Wilford chuckled. He did keep his voice relatively quiet, he didn’t want Mad’s victim to hear him.
“I have no idea what your problem is, but you seem way too excited about everything. I’ll have what ever you had.” He scoffed, once again using his fluent sarcasm. He peeked around the corner, where to his surprise, the man he was chasing was hiding.
He looked at Wilford with wide eyes and was nearly rendered speechless. “Are you serious right now!?” He whispered half excitedly, obviously shocked.
“Mourning the death of your best friend you accidentally killed for ten hours just to watch them stand up again alive does that to you!”, Wilford said and giggled, rolling on the balls of his feet.
“I am very serious right now! Told you I’d bring you to him. So now now, go finish your game with him!”, Wilford hummed, poking Mad.
The demon raised his eyebrow as the other spoke, in a slightly worried way, then patted him on the shoulder. “Sorry to hear, but at least he’s alive yeah?” He gave an awkward, toothy grin which showed his fangs.
Mad was about to question him further but as Wilford poked him he jumped around the corner and tackled the guy to the cold ground. “I win.” He said cheerfully before bringing his thumb to one of his fangs and pricking it.
The small amount of red liquid that seeped out from the hole quickly turned into a solid knife as the demon flicked his arm behind him. He held it in his hand and thrust it down into the man. Soon after he was sure that he won, he stood up and thanked Wilford. “Well what do you want in return? There’s always a catch.”

Mad took in a deep breath and held it, trying not to make a single sound, just a few seconds after only 5 members all who were chasing him showed up. “What the hell are you doing in a place like this?” One of the men had asked, another one piping up shortly after as he held up a picture of Mad. “Have you seen this freak?”
The other three men began their search around the area, looking in the old operating rooms first, then checking the out of place telephone booth which looked like it had been dragged there from the other half of the city. They soon began walking up to the pillar that the ruby eyed demon had been hiding behind the whole time.
“If you must know, I was looking for some peace and quiet. Quite a surprise seeing other people down here.” Dark shrugs.
He lets out a “shocked” gasp as the picture was thrust so quickly into his view, a mask of confusion coming to his face. Darkiplier was a natural actor. He could easily play them like a fiddle. Faking emotions was one of his strongsuits after all..
“No, why would I? This place is abandoned? As far as I know, I’m the only one who comes down here anymore.” He shakes his head as he speaks, but then looks back up at them. “Though if I had, You lot seem like the last people I’d hand someone over to. I’d hate to see what you have planed for the kid if you did catch him. How awful of you to be hunting the poor Dear down like an animal.”
While the fools searched other rooms, Dark himself moved to lean his back against the opposite side of the pillar that was hiding the other demon.
“Looks like they’re not leaving.. I may have to fight them.. They seem quite persistent…” Dark murmurs under his breath, just loud enough for the demon behind him to hear.
“Peace and quiet huh? Plenty less-creepy places to do so you know.” The guy said with a hint of urgency, it was clear he didn’t want to be in the place for much longer.
The man looked around for a while, looking quite disinterested in the flawless acting demon’s words, then refocused on dark as he called Mad a dear.
“Dear, no way! This creep’s a demon! We’re here to put an end to him a demon.” He exclaimed as he walked over to the others, they obviously had it out for the incubus.
Mad shifted his attention to Dark as he made his way over and spoke. “Don’t be an idiot, risking your own safety for someone you don’t even know- are you fucking crazy?” He replied to the other with the same volume as him. He looked around to see if they were still coming, which to his surprise they had stopped to talk to the man that had just questioned Dark.
He didn’t know how long they would be distracted so he spoke again quickly. “Whatever you do you should do it soon, they’ll probably be coming over here soon.”
The demon sat there and slowly blinked as he looked down at Wilford and listened to the man speak. “What’s your damage?” He asked, dumbfounded by the other’s odd personality and traits.
Though, he assumed Wilford was just another bubbly reporter like he had stated, his ears perked up when the chance to catch that man was mentioned. “What- How? What are you gonna do?” He looked at the other’s hand for a few moments before cautiously grabbing hold of it.
Wilford grinned widely when Mad took his hand, and suddenly they vanished in a cloud of pink glitter.
For a short moment, it was like they were falling, no discern direction which was up and down and left and right. It smelled sweet like sugar and vanilla, and looked like yellow and pink swirls.
And then they stood, and Wilford let go of Mad’s hand. “He’s hiding around there.”, Wilford said and pointed around the corner.
Mad stared in absolute confusion, he looked almost anxious. The colours and scents made him feel extremely out of place where as Wilford seemed to fit right in with it all.
The demon was glad when he felt his feet touch the ground again, he went to speak but all that came out was a strained vocal sound for a moment. “The absolute hell was that?” He asked, trying to cover up the fact he was impressed.
“What do you mean he’s hiding-“ Mad had only just registered that he was, in fact, in a completely different area than before. “How did you..? No. Why should I trust you? Give me one good reason.”
As Mad neared the lights, he was shot with the feeling of someone’s presence, not an uncommon feeling due to him being able to pick up on people in the same area as him, but this one was different somehow.
He heard A deep voice and just as the man came into sight he stopped without even a trip or a skid, it had seemed as though he froze in place. “Who are you supposed to- more importantly why are you here?”
He quickly reminded himself that he was, in fact, being chased. “Yes- that! Running, demon hunters, rookie ones but they’re chasing me.” His speech was erratic, panicked if you will. He heard yelling and ran to hide behind a pillar which was just a few meters away.
“Who I am is not important right now.. Though I could ask you the same question.” Dark hums. Though he gets his answer rather quickly.
Demon hunters… It’s been eons since the glitch demon had heard that term.
Dark’s aura instantly disappears, making him seem human, as he straightens his suit-coat and cracks his neck.
He’s grateful he doesn’t have to instruct the other demon to hide, the stranger already doing so himself.
He stands in waiting for the yelling fools to appear, ready to greet them when they do.
“Is there a problem Gentlemen~?”

Mad was running from a mob of demon hunters, rookie ones, but Mad didn’t want to take chances. He ran into a rundown part of town and sprinted down the broken escalator into the old abandoned subway system.
“Great idea, Mad, now you’re cornered— Yay!!” He yelled sarcastically to himself as he looked for a place to hide, he figured somewhere over where the lights were flickering, about twenty feet away from where he was now, would be his best bet, it was pretty disorienting after all.
Abandoned train tunnels were the best places to practice his powers, and to keep his magic sharp.
This particular day, Dark was attempting to teleport an old magazine he’d found into the void, without actually opening a pocket dimension around himself. But if the flickering lights weren’t enough indication, let’s just say, it wasn’t going well.
He was drawn out of his practice, when he realized someone was running towards him. He didn’t have enough time to de-spell his aura’s channels, the red and blue hue’s casting a soft glow around him as the stranger quickly neared.
“Are you alright? You look like you’re running from someone?” Dark asks, trying not to frighten Him more than he already seemed to be.

Wilford was very happily going along his way, humming and swinging his arms. He rarely got out, thanks to Dark keeping them all inside the Office, but he was out now! And he was very happy to be!
He walked through alleys and alike, looking around curiously, when he heard somehting. Someone running, panting. Curiously, he looked around the corner, and that was when someone ran past him and nearly collided with his face.
He leaned back, watching the person run away, and only realizing too late when someone else came running from the same direction, and collided right into him.
Mad was rather heavy footed for once, having chased this person around all day. “Get back here you little–” He stopped as he accidentally tackled the other man who he had never seen before.
“Ugh you’ve gotta be kidding me!” He yelled out as he knelt on all fours, his fingers were gripping on to the pavement where he had fell. He looked over to identify who he considered just a road block. “And who are you supposed to be?”
He lightly kicked the other man to check if he was conscious or not, which from that impact any normal person would be, however Mad had a weird feeling about this guy.
Wilford snorted as he fell to the ground, laying on his back. His bright clothes stood out a lot in this dark and dirty alley.
“Wilford Warfstache, reporter extraordinare!”, he replied with a giggle, pushing himself up to sit in front of Mad. “Did I interrupt an important chase?”, he asked with a hum and a tilt of his head.
Mad rolled his eyes so hard Wilford could probably hear it. “Are you serious right now? You just got tackled to the ground and you’re laughing!?” He spoke with a sinister growl in his voice.
“No of course not, I was just chasing that man for the fun of it!” He yelled, with every word dripping with sarcasm. The demon looked up to see the man he had been chasing was long gone, the sight of the road void of who he was looking for only angered him more. He let out a loud sigh and sat down cross-legged on the pavement.
